Cross-posted from Cascadia Forest Defenders
We just got wind that the Oregon House Committee on the Judiciary has introduced a bill that would felonize forest defense tactics on state forest lands, including our beloved Elliott State Forest. More updates on this law to come. For now, please call Oregon’s House Judiciary Chair Rep. Jeff Barker (503) 649 1767 and ask him to protect forests and people, not private industry. Also consider attending the next Committee on Judiciary public hearing on HB 2595 this Monday, March 4th at 1 p.m. (At the state capitol in Salem, room HR 343)
Text of the bill here.

This is ridiculous! It should be illegal to cut down trees and destroy whole ecosystems for MONEY;-( You can’t eat money, you can’t drink it or breathe it-so when all the clean air, clean water and clean soil to grow food in are ruined by all this insane greed stuff, then what?!?!?!
