Police Attack Several Thousand Protesters in Oakland

Infoshop News (October 25, 2011) – The Oakland police tonight are attacking several thousand demonstrators with flash grenades, tear gas, and rubber bullets. The ongoing attacks by the police follow a day which saw the authorities attack the Occupy Oakland camp and arrest over 80 people.

  • OPD has called for a full scale multi county tactical alert for riot in progress.
  • Heavy tear gas again in downtown Oakland
  • Media being attacked by the police.
  • Stand off at 14th and Broadway
  • Reports that police are using illegal military technology such as sound cannons against protesters
