Right Wing Church Claims Victory in Boston Bombings, Anarchist Hackers Step In

According to tweets sent out by the Westboro Baptist Church shortly after two bombs killed three and injured hundreds near the finish-line at the Boston Marathon, it was “God” who brought on the carnage because Massachusetts “was the FIRST STATE to pass same-sex marriage” in 2004.  They added “Westboro Baptist Church to picket funerals of those dead by Boston Bombs! GOD SENT THE BOMBS IN FURY OVER FAG MARRIAGE! #PraiseGod,”  from the church’s @WBCFliers Twitter account.

The church released a barrage of tweets following the bombing urging the government to “reinstate” the death penalty for homosexuality, warning of future attacks should that fail to happen. Other tweets mentioned that it was also abortion that caused God to bring the attacks at the Boston Marathon.

Following threats by the Westboro Baptist Church that they will protest at the funerals of the three victims for “not being Godly enough,” the anarchist hacktivist group Anonymous has announced that they will counter-attack the right wing church but didn’t give any details. In the past Anonymous has successfully taken down the websites of the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI, as well as the government websites of Iran, Egypt, Syria, and Bahrain and even threatened the Mexican drug cartel known as Los Zetas in an online video after one of their members was kidnapped.

This would not be the first time that Anonymous targeted the Westboro Baptist Church. Late last year, after the Church promised to “crash the Newtown funerals” where a gunman shot and killed 20 children and 6 adults, the online anarchist collective hacked the church’s website (godhatesfags.com) and Twitter feed and posted church member’s personal information online.

Anonymous is not necessarily anarchist. Stop with the revisionism.

Anonymous is not necessarily not anarchist. Stop with the re-revisionism. Anonymous is. We are afraid of no government.

And if we’re being completely honest, the Westboro Baptist Church is out there, even for right wing Christians!

Yes, here in rural Kansas, plenty of people who would proudly call themselves right wing, and Christian, would not wish to be associated with WBC. For what that’s worth.

prosecution of the Westboro Klan under RICO should be a priority.

Westboro come to Boston and I will be there, I will happily go to jail for stopping you from harassing people that have lost enough. Your welcome to use your first amendment rights and preach what ever you want, but your hatred toward America and Americans that have lost their children will do nothing but anger the masses, I urge you to stay away from Boston, we are not like all the rest and will not be openly harassed by you scumbags, we forced the British to pound-sand 200+ years ago and that same spirit still flows within our veins, if you come to Boston it will be your last stand.

    You have been warned.
